The Archive of the Lisbon, Setúbal and Sesimbra Ports comprises and unifies within a single structure the specific scope, functions and objectives of the semi-current and historical archives of the Port Authorities of Lisbon, Setúbal and Sesimbra.
It is responsible for the custody of the documentation produced within the scope of the activity of the port authorities of Lisbon, Setúbal and Sesimbra, which, due to its historical, administrative, probative, testimonial or informative value, are of permanent conservation, as well as for the dissemination and promotion of the history and importance of these ports in the development of the Lisbon metropolitan area.
